Careers in Chemistry
There are many different career opportunities open to a student who earns either a B.S. or B.A. in Chemistry. You will find chemists employed in forensics, environmental testing, occupational health and safety, patent law, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, food science, fuel science, etc.
For students interested in the medical field, Dr. Norman Ferrari, MD, of the WVU School of Medicine, has provided a PowerPoint presentation and information sheet. NOTE: Within the PowerPoint, the information on schools not requiring chemistry courses or MCATs came from MSAR published by AAMC.
